    New glow plugs

    Hi,
Have just replaced the glow plugs on my 200tdi as the old ones were pretty much kaput.
When we started it up it took a bit for it to kick over (as if the old ones were still in it).
The past few days it has been the same when the engine has been standing for 8-10 hours. If I go to start it after it is still warm(ish-had to move it last night @work,been sitting for roughly 5 hours) it started immediately, where later on when I left work it took a bit to catch.
Have checked the wiring to the glow plugs-thats fine.
Can anyone give me some clues as to what could be the problem..

    Thanks

    cheers

just a trick, turn ignition on till it clicks (glow plug relay). Do it again and see if it starts. if it does relay may be faulty. ??? to short a glow time.

Righto have you checked that when you turn the ignition on that you have power at each glow plug. use a test light. you should have power at each one. Now im doing this from memeory but check the back one first as they are in series and if the first one is stuffed or you have fitted the wires or insulators wrong you wont get power to the rest. Good luck hope this helps.

All fixed? Otherwise could be air getting the fuel line.
