Thread: Steering problems 96 fender

I have some pretty bad steering problems,my steering wheel is now not centered and turns a 1/4 turn each way with a fair clunk noise and no turning of the wheels,while inspecting it I see the input shaft into the steering box looks to be the problem or what it connects into inside the box I think,is a defender steering box different to a disco/early rangie or is its own model,

You can adjust the steering box to take up slack but it'll be worth checking out the drop arm ball joint too.
