I would rate the 3 best designed air lockers for a Land Rover as McNamara,Ashcroft and TJM Pro Locker, which is the McNamara Locker made under licence and everyone I have heard that has one fitted has loved them, even on Jap vehicles.![]()
I have an Ashcroft ATB in the rear of the D2, combined with the traction control, CDL and fitted a later SLABS unit (to avoid having to wire cut for the CDL) and it's a pretty great combo. Added to the fact it cost less than $300- to fit incl bearings, seals and lapping and it was a bargain (excluding R&R of the centre).

I'll have a look into them.
OL made the comment that it seemed similar to the TJM prolocker, if it's not a familiar product they normally send them to a diff mob in dubbo, 3 day turnaround, $1500 install, etc etc.
I've also got to factor in the cost of a compressor, so I'm looking at those now.
Blimey the new ARB one is tiny![]()
Bought mine direct from Ashcroft 2 sets ring and pinions, 2 air lockers Wolfe came with all electrics and carrier bearings. Purchased all extra bearings and seals from Island 4x4 England they supplied timken bearings and OEM seals at a good price also bought a starter for 45 pound just need help with setup specifications like pinion bearing preload, carrier bearing preload and pinion height.
Check out the Blue Tongue compressor. About $400- from memory. Have a really linear delivery rate regardless of pressure, good fill times (for tyre inflation) and are very small.
