Yeah,I noticed that too, just thought it was what they did, brand new filter, wouldn't even know it had been used if you look at it, has just had a snorkel fitted before that log was made,but it doesn't run any different .I'm at an elevation at home of about 400m,but that log was recorded much closer to sea level.

I found that when I used a Donaldson Cyclone snorkel head at high speed that mine did the same.
Changed to a normal head and it wasn't as pronounced
I did the air box mod and now only get around the 97 mark yours was down to 92-93 although I don't rev mine quite as hard as you

Have you tried adjusting your waste gate actuator, boost seems a little on the low side.
Also have you tried bypassing the modulator and connect wastegate directly to the bleed nipple on the turbo outlet pipe.
The map and maf do seem to be operating correctly.
what about injectors, did you put them back where they came from, the injector codes are specific to each pot

Injectors are coded properly, the guy who fitted the snorkel did not do it properly creating a severe restriction in the adapter in the guard, not sure this will fix it though as we removed it and went for a spin and it didnt get any better, gave it a couple real big boots and complete loss of power and end enough black smoke for a 5000hp train,
de-laminated intercooler hose, cannot understand how they collapse when they have positive pressure inside them, guess it has something to do with air speed past the surface dragging it inwards, anyway hopefully this may have been my problem all along,will see when a new one turns up.The boost is probably a bit low because i did back the wastegate off a bit to check it wasn't the ecu cutting fuel or something like that,thanks for the idea though,

I recently fitted a genuine LR rebuilt TD5 to mine and while it ran fine at low revs it loss power and blew black smoke under turbo load, after replacing all sensors and quite a few other parts it turned out to be that the inercooler hose to egr blanking kit was slightly loose, half a turn with a screwdriver fixed it

Just pulled the intercooler out of mine ,found some grit in the intercooler and in the hose between the air box and the turbo , in the deep recesses, can't believe we missed it when re assembling, cant think how else it got there though,bit annoyed don't want another dusted one.:mad:

The Discovery airbox is the worst i have ever seen.
Cant seal for **** from new.
I will see if i can find a picture of my MAF after a weekend drive. I am amazed the thing still works. Covered in bugs and dust.
You need to use a thin rubber strip to give it some positive pressure to seal against the lid.

This motor has already been dusted once, now its got a snorkel fitted hopefully it will help,the story I was told is that its common for dirt and rubbish to build up under the filter and basically block it until all of a sudden the pressure gets too much and ruptures the filter, instant dusted motor:(

Anyone notice the coolant temperature? Low 70's after 70 minutes driving isn't what I'd expect to see on a d2. It should be reading at least 80°C (thermostat shouldn't open below 82°C) and probably closer to 90°C after a run like that.
Thermostat or Coolant Temp Sensor?

Add: The fuel temp is tracking the ECT as you'd expect, so I'm guessing the thermostat.
