Thread: lowish brake pedal

Hi,
Since I got my D1 300tdi back from having reco engine in,the brake pedal doesn't seem to engage brakes until about 1/3rd the way down.
Changed disk pads approx 3 months back. There was always a wooshing sound when you applied the brakes,now there isn't.
Could it be the booster that isn't working properly.
As far as I can tell,the brakes are working correctly(havent done an emergency stop yet).

I took the beast down to the brake people and the guy(who worked previously for Trivett) said that the brakes were ok,the booster was working properly and he suggested I change the brake pad kits.
Did that this arvo and the brake pedal is still low(if you give it a quick pump,it will be normal).
Also the pins for the front were 3/8" longer than the ones that are in there.
Could that affect the braking at all if I put the longer pins in?
I just changed the springs for the front and cleaned up the pins.
The rear, even tho the pins were longer,they were just split pins.
