Well I can handle the thanks bit. Bottom right is a thanks icon. Click on that to thank some one for a useful post and that is the way they or you gather thanks. You gather thanks as people thank you for your input.

I used them on all the vintage Toyotas as they have a factory white wall. They last well given that they don't do many miles, but sit on blocks for months at a time but don't crack or harden.

Also, goo idea not to SHOUT.

I fitted the GT Radial H/T pattern tyres to my D2 a few years ago - they're still on it and have plenty of life left in them. Vehicle is mostly on the bitumen, but has also been used offroad on these tyres without problems on plenty of occasions. My son has the vehicle now. We've had no issues with them at all and have been very happy. They ride much better than the Michelins that were previously fitted - quieter and no tram-lining.

I know a business in Perth who fits out new Toyota's for one of the larger hire companies. Specification for those is the GT Radial A/T on all vehicles. I asked if they had any problems with them - none reported. I'm sure that a large hire fleet would not be specifying these on their new vehicles if they were not at least a reasonably good tyre.

I'd have no hesitation using them again.
    Cheers .........

they don't have a very good reputation out in the coal mines.....some tyres just don't cut the mustard,,,,the GT radial being one.....there are plenty of others.

    G'day Rambling Boy 42,

Can you let us know which brands of tyres do cut the mustard on 4WD out in the mines? Thanks

    Kind Regards
    Lionel

the Bridgestone 697's are holding up well.....the Federal Couragia's seem to be doing well, most of the heavy lug tyres ie.muddies get torn up fairly quickly.....they talk in terms of months not km's.

Well thanks for all that info. I had better look at my rims then. I have had this wobble . Replaced all my ball joints wheel bearings. It all improved but still a slight wobble. The tyres seem in good condition

A mechanic told me today, when you get a wheel balance it is only balanced to a minimum of 40% if you want it done to 0% wobble you must request it as it takes a lot longer and cost more.

Has any one heard that before?

Adrian,am at present on the road running 235/85/16 Adventuro LT.Fitted these tyres in Perth and have travelled Simpson,Cape York, now in the NT.Tyres have handled all conditions sand ,mud ,gibber, corrugations etc with no problems,no chipping,no sign of wear and quiet running.....so well pleased!Your wobble may require shimming of the swivel pins.
