    Is that plate that the pillow bearing is mounted to s standard part? I have the bolt holes and bolts for it but the plate has been removed. It looks like it would be easy to fabricate but I don't have the tools to do so.

    The plate is a standard part and would have been removed with the PTO shaft setup.

    It wouldn't be difficult to fabricate if you can't source a spare. Have you had any luck with Advanced Trailer Spares? I know they used to carry spares for civvy winch setups, and may be able to provide some parts off the shelf.

    The only differences between civilian and ADF shafts that I'm aware of are:
    1.) First shaft length
    2.) Civilian PTOs come with a provision for a shear pin to be installed in one of the universal joint shaft collars. You don't need one as you have a torque limiter on the PTO drive itself.

    Everything else should be the same.

    It measured it out as a 3.5" diameter flange with a 2" square bolt pattern. I imagine It would also need to be a 3/4" shaft output size with 3/16" x 3/32" keyway to suit the rest of the system. These don't seem to exist as off the shelf items, however I'm not good on the terminology and may be asking google for the wrong thing. Is there a name for these flange to shaft adaptors? Anyone bought one of these before somewhere and can recommend a supplier?

    The flange yoke that mounts to the PTO drive is a 1000-series flange yoke with the following dimensions:



    A = 3 7/16" (87mm)
    C = 2 1/4" (57.15mm)
    D = 15/16" (23.75mm)
    G = 1 3/16 (30mm)

    The flange face also has a locating lip not shown on the diagram. The outer diameter of the lip is dimension C, while the inner diameter is 1 15/16" (49.2mm).

    The bolt circle diameter is 2 3/4", which is a standard 1000 series flange yoke.

    Any driveline place should have it on the shelf.

    EDIT - Hardy Spicer don't have a 1000 series flange yoke listed in their catalogue, but the Series 1140 (part number 1-2-39) has an identical flange size with a wider cross. Just means you have to size the cross and end yoke to suit.

    Thanks for that. ATS were very helpful but no longer carry/make these drivelines. With the correct dimensions if everything I'm pretty sure they would happily make the required parts up. Those guys really know their stuff.

    Any chance you could measure up the mounting plate for me? I'm thinking I'll get one made up to match somewhere. Also how thick is it?

    Does anyone else want one cut while I'm at it? I will only get the plate cut, the holes you'll have to drill yourself.

    Anyone have know a good place in Sydney I might be able to do this?

    The last thing stopping me is that damn bearing block at the winch end. I can't find anything to match, I'm thinking I might need to make an adaptor plate and use a standard pillow bearing block the same as the PTO end bearing block.

    Any ideas?

    Reviving an old thread here...

    Rather inexplicably, one of the couplings has fallen off my PTO winch driveshaft, and unfortunately it is the one with the long-collared yoke. Now from reading the Hardy Spicer catalogue ([ame]http://www.hardyspicer.com.au/PDF_Files/Driveline/B2_Catalogue_2013-8lr.pdf[/ame] ; page 7/124) I believe the missing yokes are 10-4-14 and 10-3-13X. When I presented this part number at Hardy Spicer Moorebank however, they insisted that the long-collared yoke 10-3-13X is splined, and that this and every driveshaft _must_ have a splined shaft somewhere on its length. They remained unmoved even when shown a photo of the (clearly keyed) shaft, claiming that perhaps the splined section had sheared off. Unfortunately I was traveling back to Canberra and didn't have the remains of my driveshaft to show them.

    So, am I correct, and they are misreading the details of their own catalogue? It is a bit confusing in that listing's corresponding illustration is definitely a conventionally splined shaft. They didn't have one on the shelf to physically check. Or have I got the wrong part no.? I'm guessing that the long-collared yoke was used to allow for minor variations in mounting. Worse case scenario, I suppose I could measure up the exact shaft length required, have one made and use two of the standard 10-4-13 yokes?

    Find a company called powauto. I bought a new thomas pto winch without shafts and unis. The pto output and winch input shafts were keyed. They supplied new unis and bearing block and made new shafts to length, keyed the same as the pto & winch. Also drilled the winch input shaft for the shear pin so it was easier to change than the original. Which was somewhere along the length of the missing stuff.
