Unhappy Airbags, weird warning noises and freaky electrical problem 2002 TD5 Disco 2

Hi there, just wondering if someone could help us solve what is going on with my car. About 2 months ago on the odd occasion when I would go to start the car all of the dash lights and stereo lights would flicker on and off and nothing would happen. We replaced the battery and all was well. Then the same week my drivers side rear airbag started to sag on and off.

Today I was driving and the 3 ding warning noises that you usually hear when the 3 amigo lights come on, sounded but no warning lights. Thought it was weird but kept driving. This happened and 8 more times on my 15 min drive, but no lights coming on and nothing weird happening to the car other than the warning noises. Get back in the car again for another drive and again with the dinging randomly. Then all of a sudden I notice that the radio starts to turn off with the dinging, the dash lights and stereo lights are flickering like they did when the battery was going. Then about the 3rd time this happened the car turned off (like it stalled, it's an auto) when this happened. Started fine, but when it happened the next time the warning light with the little car with the arrows up and down came on. Pulled over and turned car off then back on and it was fine until I got home. Had to go out again and it was fine for ages, then suddenly the dinging and flashing dash lights and the warning light came on....then we lost the airbags completely and we were bouncing along like on some weird ride till we got to our driveway. Turned off the car....and when we went to restart it so Hubby could take a look at it, it was dead. No power even to the interior lights. He fiddled with the terminals on the battery and suddenly it started and the airbags were working again.

Is this all somehow related and what exactly is wrong?? Sorry for the novel but wanted to tell you everything that happened incase one of those things that happened is important.

    Thanks so much in advance.

I think it is a bad connection at the battery not giving the compresser enough power to keep the bags up and the car running
