There is at least one member here that has one in a Disco, for the cost you can get the same performance with a VNT and IC upgrade and save the balance for a vented front disc swap.
Otherwise its a bolt in swap and no upgrades required.
im looking at putting the 2.8HS motor into my Disco. Just wanted to see if anyone knows how well they go with the standard 300tdi Auto Box and Driveline+Brakes? or will i need to upgrade them in the process

I think you have been caught up in the interweb hype. There is no way they will trouble any of the stock driveline.
I would seriously consider a td5 over one.....
Even 2nd hand ex Brazil they are expensive , parts are same as TDI.

Maybe Kevin you could return the starter motor you borrowed 3 months ago befor buying a 2.8 to replace the good 300tdi you have??
