Could be right there, hole in the side didn't register, but it probably still is a float needle and seat, I would say that the thread at the bottom probably screws into the underside of the float bowl cover and seals on the taper.
Only other thing I can think of is a Power Valve (enrichment) which is operated by an external lever that presses on the end (top) bit, usually between idle circuit and accelerator pump, Regards Frank.

Doesn't look much like a needle and seat, my first thought was power valve, don't know those particular carbies though. A power valve will be located in the bottom of the float chamber, has a light spring that holds it closed and it is operated by a plunger that is held away from the valve by vacuum, so at low vacuum, i.e. wide-open-throttle, the plunger is depressed by a spring, opens the valve and allows extra fuel flow. There will be a springt-loaded plunger or lever of some sort that rests on this when the top of the carby is fitted.

    which carby is it....

It cant be a needle and seat for the float valve, the wire goes right the way though...

I think it might be a combnied jet and emulsion tube.

The first thing I asked was what carby it was, but he had no idea. All I got was it's from a sigma motor and he needed the part because he over tightened it and it snapped. But he had no idea what it was lol, I had one look at it and had no idea it certainly was any holley part I've used. He just started doing sprint car racing and he had a race that evening. I recommended him take the carby and part to a performance shop I will ask on Monday if he figured it out.

    Are there 2 of them?

If so, it looks a bit like the "inner venturi", or part thereof.

Its a custom made carby built in Adelaide and the part listing was just "injector"!
