Thread: 4.6 MOTOR

Gday all...
Well although we all belive we know a lot there is something to be said for an education....im just learning about the gem and the thor motor and heres my problem...question.
I have been told that a 4.6 gem wil go into a disco with a 3.9 gem and work of the same ecu etc...now i have a 4.0 thor and looking to buy a 4.6 thor to put in my project...
Need help and advice on any problems please...ie...will i need the ecu from the p38 or will it work of mine....do all the other things fir straight on...
Its an expensive buy but have been assured its a well worth conversion.
Any helpeither good or bad would be gratefully appreciated.

Thanks for that...all part of my ongoing project of a D2 ute im on with....and to travel from here to your neck of the woods..eventually.
Dont suppose your in the know of a sequential shifter for the R380...looked at Quaife but there not playing at selling parts...just full boxes and at 8k...not sure its worth that.
