    D1 Safari snorkel template

    I have a Safari snorkel for my 97 V8 D1 that I removed from a TDI that was being wrecked a few months ago. When I removed it I made sure to take measurements of the main hole through the guard so that I could then be able to mark and measure all the other bolt holes. Since doing this, my measurement sheet has gone walkabout (the assumed culprit shall remain nameless) so I am chasing a copy of a template or at least some measurements as to where the main hole should be located. I have spoken to my local Safari dealer about this, but now, several weeks later, I don't think they are going to come to the party. If anyone out there has a template or measurements, I would be extremely appreciative if you could help me out. Cheers.

    I have one for a 300 TDI NO ABS. If you think it will fit you are welcome to it. Let me know.

    G'day Pete,

    Thanks for the reply. The one I have is for ABS (mine doesn't have ABS but it does have a compressor mounted there) but I think the hole is still in the same spot, it is just the internal sections that are different. If anyone else can verify this then please feel free to. I will send you a PM about this. Thanks again.
