    TD5 Heater hose PBH101980G

If you are stuck getting one of these, go to Burson Auto Parts & buy a CH1300 Mackay heater hose ( for a Ford Falcon) and cut it down. Slightly thicker hose and under 10 bucks. Plus you get a 750mm length of hose left over to beat the kiddies with

    God help your kids.

I' m about to do away with that whole assembly as I have removed the EGR. Do you know / can you measure the I.D of the thin end (that attaches to the oil cooler) of that hose?

    Cheers,

    Ian.

I've also used a ford radiator hose as the first turbo - intercooler hose. Lasted from Croyden back to Yass when I got it replaced.

    The secret hose.

Ian, it's the hose on the oil cooler, nothing to connect with EGR.

    Pete,

if you follow the hose out of the oil cooler, round the back of the engine it eventually connects to the upper end of the EGR cooler on a late model (EU3) Td5.

I would just like to know the diameter of the end that connects to the oil cooler as I want to blank it off as iI no longer require that part of the coolant circuit.

    Thanks,

    Ian.

When I fitted a new radiator to my 1999 TD5 Defender the connection to the oil cooler hose was blanked off.I removed the hose and fittings and closed the end off with one of these.Silicone Hose END Caps 2 Pack Blanking Plug Bung Stainless Steel Braided Braid | eBay 20mm fitted fine.

Well mine is a '99 model & the hose is 16mm internal & 23 external. The OEM Ford part no is XC18472AD. Eddy, that Ebay link defaults to 20mm...
