I have two 3.5's that need work on the power steer pumps and wanted to find some advice on either:
(1) reconditioning the pumps
(2) replacing with rover parts
(3) replacing with non-rover parts
We need 2 pumps or to fix the two we have - one is noisy the other suspected of venturing air (see other post in this forum).
I have seen reconditioning kits but does this work?
If we buy new pumps where is the best/cheapest source?
I did read somewhere (and forgotten the detail) that you can replace them with an easier to source Ford part - anyone know about this.
I think we have the Eaton style pumps - but when I search there seem to be a few different styles used - we have single V pulley ones.
Thanks in advance for suggestions and advice - SKiboy
