The Landrover one has the pipe ending just above the oil level, and so does any others I can think of (although many do not have a pipe as such). But I suspect that in practice it makes little difference - even at idling speeds the airflow will depress the surface of the oil rather than bubble though it, carrying oil up into the mesh with the air. Note that the Landrover one has a circular baffle to stop the oil flowing back into the centre rapidly.
