Both have their pro's and con's but i'd stick with the EFI , you wont get an RWC with the quaddy fitted.
Have a 95 Disco 3.9 efi.
Have a spare Quadrajet and Manifold to suit.
Just wondering what opinions are about the merits of swapping over to the Qjet for simplicity/reliability sake.
Rest of motor is stock but will be putting in a scorcher dizzy and different coil.
Haven't driven the car much yet as am waiting to get a few things done for rwc, but seems strong and gets along ok.

14CUX Efi is generally pretty long lasting and reliable, and not exactly difficult to mod for performance.
The system itself is ludicrously simple, and in all my time working with them the only issues I've found have been outside of the actual efi system, and mostly due to old wiring on the power supply side, knackered coils and leads etc...
It's a nice efficient plenum setup to run LPG through to boot.
Offroad could be a problem for the carby, don't like steep angles that cause flooding, Regards Frank.
My experience with EFI vs carbies is absolutely in favour of EFI in every respect, including reliability. I've also had issues with several different types of carbies in 4wd vehicles with flooding on steep climbs (fuel pouring through the jets like tipping up a watering can), needle & seats giving up on corrugated roads is another.
Thanks for the replies, looks like there's going to be a Qjet and manifold up for sale soon.
