No knowledge of them, however appear impressive. Built in charger?
Does anyone have any experience with these Antigravity Batteries Micro-Start XP-1 kits. If it works as advertised it would be an excellent bit of kit to pack when travelling, particularly the jump start capability.
Or just maybe its to good to be true?

It tends to sound that way and while I have had nothing to do with these, but a few years back on the UK site, a guy arrived back at Heathrow to find his D3 had a flat battery.
Out of desperation to save waiting hours for road side assist, he hooked up his 18v battery from his portable drill and sure enough, he managed to start his D3.
So I can't see why it would not work in some cases.
expedition exchange are well regarded and that is a very comprehensive review.
10 jumps of a v8 rover seems good evidence to me.
$145 seems good pricing too - bring on awesome battery technology i say!

They seem cheap enough so I ordered one and it arrived yesterday. I called Expedition Exchange on a postal issue and asked if the charger would work from a 220v supply. He told me that being a US model it would only charge via 110v supply....but upon inspection the charger is 110-240v so I'm happy with that!
The Charger is those dumb little two flat prongs so I need an adapter but it's not the end of the world.
The Micro-Start comes with a good array of accessories for charging laptops, phones etc...but I bought it mainly for the jump-starting feature. The quality looks good and it appears to be built to high standards.
A mechanic I was dealing with recently had one and had started a 6cyl volvo, which didn't have enough juice to light up it's dash. he restarted it another 3 times. he was very impressed. So was I. And it weighs nothing.
I'm torn between which car to keep it in...my 1998 Discovery or my Range Rover Sport.
My Sport let me down one time with a totally dead battery but it was replaced under warranty and I haven't had an issue since.
My Discovery on the other hand has twin batteries but is used more for off road so I suppose my chances of being stranded with a flat battery are higher with the Disco because I don't always carry jumper cables.
