    Winch Solenoid Upgrade

I finally got around to fitting the Aldi Winch I bought a couple of years ago and find the Solenoids are clicking madly when winching in and out. I thought it was a poor connection or low batteries but have tried different batteries and the connections are all good. I think its a bit late for a warranty claim . Researching the web I see there are different rated old type solenoids the biggest being 100 amp continuous, so I thought can I upgrade a solenoid set up from the old type to the solid state ones fairly easily and would I get instructions with it to do it.. I've spent an hour trying to find instructions on line with no luck
    New type

This is the old type that I have

    Thanks, David

Yes go the solid state type . I have fitted 12v and 24v ones and all the ones i have fitted came with instructions .
Ebay ones are ok fitted a few of those 500 amp with no probs
As a observation the main power pole is normaly copper or brass where as the other poles are stainless
You need to run a power to the middle small screw from your power feed pole

    Chris,
Thanks, the wiring diagram puts my mind at ease.
Just need to swap some terminals on the little wires by the look.
