    leaking kick down cable zf4hp22

I have transmission fluid leaking out my kick down cable at the injector pump end[300tdi], not alot but enough to leave the chassis rail wet and a small drip.
I have checked that the breather hose is clear. The cable is used and was swapped over from my last failed auto box that didnt leak.
    Any ideas?

Is the fluid pink? Overfull auto sump? Cracked auto dip stick tube around weld to tab that holds tube to chassis? If not obviously pink then possible fuel leak from injector pump? Viton seal kit required.

Tranny fluid is leaking/travelling up/out of bellows at end of kick down cable attached to pump, at first i thought it was the pump leaking but it is not, it is deffinately tranny fluid[but not an awful lot]. I figure i can probably crack the dipstick tube to stop it happening. have replaced the diamond plate oring/seal on injector pump previously with green viton seal

Hmmm... would never have thought the fluid would rise so high and through such a narrow conduit as the cable. You would think some sort of pressure in box would be responsible, apart from the pump itself.

When my dip stick tube broke, it seemed the pump had no trouble pushing the fluid up the dipstick tube for about 600mm or more.

Can you can see it leaking from the bellows when you run the engine?

Guess you put a new filter in the sump when replacing the cable.

I remember the one time I've changed the kick down cable there was an irritating bit involving pushing a rubber plug part of the cable into valve box? Could that be a seal and maybe not pushed properly home?

Really into the realm of guessing now. Mine is Disco 1 Tdi300 experience. Do you have a transmission fluid cooler (radiator) and possibly a leak from hoses that blows onto the kick down cable? Been on any track where you put all the fluid on the kickdown cable side? Is your power steering reserve bottle anywhere near and leaking?
