Thanks that's good, nice relief that they're not thousands.

They put it on their computer and with all the faults that came up he thinks it's the filter blocking oil flow rates, would this sound correct?

A blocked filter would certainly cause faults due to low pressure at the transducer in the valve block, but so could a poorly performing pump. Change the filter as the first step.

Would anyone recommend doing a quick test by taking the filter out and running it with no filter to see if the fault light doesn't come on?

The filter is just a wire mesh. I'd recommend removing it, cleaning it with some diesel and putting it back in and not worry about replacing it. Having said that, $25 isn't much for a filter that most last over 200,000km.

Been sometime I did get it fixed, new pump, filter, & transducer. Filter was almost sucked inside out!!! Metal particals in it, from pump which went first who knows? (Chicken or the Egg) Then had to replace transducer now all good and has been so for months, you can really feel the difference when it is working.

    Thanks all for the help.
