So that's twice the price of a turners one shipped.

I don't think anyone can honestly say if they are as good as the original as this is the first batch. Time will tell I guess.

Interestingly when I spoke with turners they said they had only ever had one return (which was from aus) and it was due to incorrect fitting.

And Australian company's wounder why everyone is going o/s to buy the same product when you have examples of price gouging with a $150 price increase overnight for no reason.

Is the no buy direct from ross performance in vic or ros tuffbond in sydney? I only ask because I know Ross Clothier and he's always been open to people buying direct. In fact I have had no knowledge of the Vic "arm" of Ross in the 30 years of previous acquaintance.

As for price v quality. You have a fully servicable aftermarket item made by someone who makes nothing but balancers and pulleys. He's made stuff for me running at close to 20,000rpm and never had a quality issue, weather it be vibration, bearings, anything. He's always open to discussion and freedom of information on the whys and wheres of why and how stuff is done and he finish and packaging is second to none. I will always shop o/s to avoid the gouge but in this case if I had a TD5 it'd be where I would shop.

Time to go visit and see whats going on.

Ross is effectively retired if you read the blog so they've been taken over.

Good luck getting the same product from O/S

People going overseas are just causing the exact problem this nation is wading through at the moment... And will continue to get worse.

The ONLY way we will get cheaper here, is if we reduce Cost of Living, Cost of housing, Salary and Wages... Hands up all in favour of that

You can still buy from them direct, its just they will now charge the same retail as Ritters to protect their reseller agreement.

I suppose Ritters may have some sort of deal with minimum order quantities or some such thing to make it worth their while....... its disappointing to know that these are now dearer by nearly 200 plus tool plus freight, simply so a middleman can make a cut.
