D1 SRS light reset
Pretty sure the problem with my 1996 Discovery 1 SRS lamp coming on & off is low voltage during cranking (starter was crook and drawing huge amps) and general low voltage issues due to not driving vehicle for a few years.
Now the lamp stays on all the time.
QUESTION - What is the easiest (read cheapest) way of getting the codes read and reset in Melbourne without resorting to a Stealership?
I'm willing to pay someone for this but being asked $75-$100 by some of the more reknown Melbourne LR repairers (not dealerships) for about three minutes work I find hard to justify.
Any ideas?

It's going to a hard one as you need a diagnostic machine to rest set it.
If it was a Disco 2 a lot easier as most of us carry the gear for them, but finding some one with the right plug and diagnostics and licence for a Disco may be hard. Hope someone can help you.
Cheers, Mario

SRS LAMP - IT's Gone OFF!!!
After driving for a few days with the new starter installed the SRS lamp is off and stays off (only to come on when starting)
BRAG WARNING! - Obviously my diagnosis of low voltage during cranking bringing on the light was correct. To those with SRS issues in D1's check your battery voltage during cranking - could be the problem!
