    Parts Quality ?

After a full wheel to wheel front diff rebuild , by an experienced landrover mechanic . The panhard rod bushes ,replaced at the same time , failed after 1000km , totally flogged & car undrivable .
Replaced them with the same , rubber type , from the same well known Perth supplier , 250km & the wheel wobble is back , chasis end bush is worn . The car is a 97 110 Def . My 97 130 has had super pro bushes for many thousands of km , no probs . Is it the quality of the parts , or should I be looking for some other problem ?

The only reason I used rubber was because I needed them now .
Ultimately I will fit Super pro .

Yes this wear is normal for these bushes. Quality has always been poor with these, Best bet is always genuine as mentioned. But Superpro type etc are always my choice if you use the landy on and offroad. Many suppliers (UK) list bushes/belts/pumps etc as OEM or OEM quality, in many cases they are the suppliers OEM quality not LR OEM!

But what would i know. Always ask the supplier is it factory OEM not supplier OEM. Eg Wabco/Timken.

I tend to use rubber and have not had any problems so far (except for removal of the old stuff ...), but I make sure I get the right stuff and not a cheapo replacement. Luckily I have a supplier I can trust.
