    Advice please!!

    :? Gday all,
I am putting some elec windows from a S1 Disco into my Rangie, now as discussed before all the wiring should be there from original to hook the windows up. Now this is correct to a certain extent but it does appear that the relays for the windows were not included. So my question is : Can anyone who has a Rangie or Disco please advise me on what sort of relay I will need to purchase so I can get these windows operating. I am only doing the front windows so I wont need the one for the rear windows. Any pics that could be taken would be appreciated. The relays are located under the centre glovebox. If you have any pics etc.. please send em to strange_rover@dodo.com.au
    Thanks all

    Hi Shane
If you dont have any luck going the original wiring direction you can make your own "custom" wiring using standard spottie relays, you would wire them as you would spotties but the load would be your window motor and the trigger would be the switch,I guess you would need 2 relays for each motor,to reverse the polarity to give you up and down,Im sure your local friendly auto sparky would give you advice on how to do it if you buy the relays etc from him.

    Winders

    Thanks Andrew,
I may well have to go that way in the end. I am going to have a look at another Rangie with leccy windas tomorrow so I will see what is required.
