300tdi timing belt replacement cost

Hi all,

Have done a search through the archives and there is a lot of info on timing belt replacement but wanting a cost figure on what people have paid to have it replaced (want to make sure I'm not being ripped off :? )

Just for the record, had the timing belt replaced on the disco for $420 by the local LR dealer. Only thing was, the old one looked as good as new (oh well, better safe than sorry :? )

While they had the vehicle, they found that the rear tailshaft coupling was starting to split around the bolts, so had that replaced. $205 just for the coupling 8O

Also had all belts and hoses replaced in preparation for my Cape York trip. The old girls as good as new now!!
