NARVA LED Load Resistor 12V 21W - Supercheap Auto Australia

These are the kind of thing Resistance 6.8 ohms would give you 21w at 12 volts. They are probably 8 ohms since it really going to be gettig 13.5 volts

They get hot so use a metal case and bolt them too it with some heat paste. Dont mount the loads in a platic case

Just in case anyone is still interested, it is a European ECE requirement that vehicles equipped to tow a trailer have a separate tell tale in the cabin which alerts the driver if the indicators are not operating correctly. It usually does this by altering its flash rate. The vehicle will check that the load or resistance in the (trailer) indicator circuit is consistent with a (additional) 21w bulb. That is why the rr will monitor the indicator rather than the stop lamp or other circuits.

This trailer telltale requirement is not applicable in oz, but fault detection of the vehicle indicators is. So you need to be careful how you mount any additional load which will trick the ECM into fixing the flash rate, the ECM should still be able to detect a lamp failure (except a side repeater) on the vehicle.

Just my 2c if your interested....
