Snorkels on V8's

Hope I'm not out of place, but I thought the first reason to fit a snorkle was river fording to keep water out of the air intake under the bonnet, more specificly for deisels, bult also V8's, secondly better air on dirt roads, and last for the pose.

I first saw the ram on backwoods on Cape York '96 ('76 Rangie), suppose to stop waves running down through the throat we where told ( I am outer there if its that deep) we did it of course not to be seen as tourists, but back in '72 in old series, made it accross the Jardine without one, so I guess where I'm heading with this, mines on these days for the pose ('97 Defender) as I've only had water on the wipers & running over the door sills (Yalwal)! :twisted: :wink:

the MAJOR reason is clean air,,, and it IS important,, around town or in the bush. Over the life of the vehicle it does make a difference. no pose reasons required :wink: [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif[/img]

Well they fixed it without any drama and it is mainly for clean air

The retarded fitter obviously does not understand what a straight line is. So I chucked a tanty, rang ARB and said that they can fix it and that I want something done about the useless store at Wulkuraka :evil:

When I spoke to the guy at ARB, he said do you want to take it back to them to get it fixed, my reply "If you had a brand new vehicle, would you want a retarded F*$!kwit working on it", to which he replied "I see your point", So I am going over to head office next weekend and I am getting it fixed :wink:
