Sticking with LR for sure, you can get some nice US 16x10 alloys in the rover stud pattern, and there are a ton of options from the UK

For normal pinion 9"s, True, however I was refering to the TruHi9 version, which is high pinion, and the TruHi9 is the ONLY high pinion 9" with the 3rd pinion bearing

The plan for the front is, pegged full strongest available Ashcroft diffs, CW&P, Hi tough axles/flanges.
Front does not have to be as strong as the rear, unless you like driving uphill backwards full throtle:what:

Currently its 31or 35 at the diff-24 at the wheel.
As I think I have mentioned, Jacmac for stubs, axles need to be machined regardless....so getting hubs and stubs machined is much the same

Anyway, I reckon jig up for GQ would be better, big brakes, simply fit cal offroad CV's and its pretty much bulletproof and far cheaper, you can even use high pinion front crown wheel and pinion in rear which would alleviate driveshaft vibes issue

So if modded gear I would use Nissan, if I wanted bolt in it would be front and rear sals, hands down

You seem to be a dude that has already made up his mind on this things anyway, you would be better off with a build up instead of asking

Actually, I could be wrong. Im not sure there was any factory ford 9 front applications???

Regardless, all ford 9s have the 3rd bearing, it is only truehi9 that add the thrust block and mod for high pinion.

Is there any reason the stock ford 9 rear low pinion can not be run as a high pinion in the front?

Umm it running the opposite way to the rear diff would kinda suck a bit although it would be funny

I figure if you spin it around it would be low pinion in the front and rotate the wrong way, but then flip it and its high pinion and the correct way???

Direct quote from the truhi9 website

" This is the ONLY high pinion differential
with the third bearing on the pinion!!!!!"

So what they are saying is that ford 9" have the 3rd bearing on the pinion and others like the high pinion dana 60 doesn't. Not that the TruHi9 is the only diff with it.

    Do certain F150's have a 9" front?
