Help! same rim, different weight rating
Apologies if this has been dealt with or should have been asked elsewhere, Ive tried a number of searches to no specific end.
I've just purchased a pair of dynamic 16/7 rims to complete a set of 6 and I'm getting tyres fitted tomorrow.
I'm concerned that despite getting what appear to be exactly the same rims, the 2 new ones are only rated to 1200 kg, wheras the original 4 are rated to 1400kg. The local distributor trotted out a story about the originals being incorrectly stamped....after giving me a bit of a run around I might add.
Is this different rating going to be a problem to run on and when it comes to rotation?
Should I dig in and insist on getting the 1400kgs? (if I can find them...)
Please keep it simple for me, I'm new to the world of rims!
Appreciate any help

I cannot help you but the first question that will be asked is what type of landie do you have as either the GVM or axle loading will have something to do with rim ratings

Current model 110 if that helps with the question:

oops, yep my2010 110.
just a further note, the spec table on the side of the box of the new rims is exactly identical to that on the original's boxes, so to all appearances, identical rims...
might the original 1400kgs be 130 rims maybe?

Well, for perpetuity, in the event that someone googles this sometime down the track with the same scenario, according to Dynamic they are exactly the same rim - same thickness centre plate (6mm) and rim plate (4mm), just the stamped weight coming out of the manufacturer has changed. the 1400kg rate stamped tyres aren't available new anymore.
So until I hear otherwise, or bend one of the new rims driving up the kerb out the front, I am going to blithely believe I have a uniform set of 6 rims and give it no more thought.
