I have Koken branded one which was around £22 + shipping from Dingocroft. The Britpart part number and list price of £12 on the one from Paddocks point to a cheap knock off. If you can source a Koken socket from ebay at the same shipped price as the cheapy from Paddocks it should be a no brainer.

    cheers

From enquires I've made in the past, I'm pretty sure ALL of these things are the same item made by Koken

I have seen more than one reference to some of the cheaper propshaft sockets being knock offs of the Koken tools.

Just go buy a thin walled shallow good quality (brand) 9/16" ring spanner ,
I have had one for years and a 9/16" open ender in my car , Never a hard job and cheaper than the quoted price you guys are talking about
    Gedore 1965328 4 1/2x9/16AF Flat ring spanner 1/2x9/16"

I've got one on the way. Will report brand later if anyone's interested. 10 quid insured freight, which is $A 19.00, on top of purchase price of 19.50 quid.

I have a Britpart branded 3/8 drive one. Just brilliant. I recently changed the rear propshaft on my 2 Door and it made it a 5 minute job, including putting the car on and off the hoist.

Works for me, just have to keep rotating the shaft for each bolt.

    Cheers,

Ok, it turned up today, and it's unbranded. Quality looks ok, but time will tell.
