Video doesn't look conclusive. Time to buy a boost gauge.

Is the vane lever all good?

did you see the pic of the broken turbine vane?

did you watch the first video I did for audio and hear the horrible noise it was making?

There is not 20 different hoses to leak, only 3 large and 2 small. with engine running and giving a few revs, I can not feel any leaks. Listening to noise and moving my head around engine bay and its clearly coming from right at or near the turbo.

I also got a long shank screwdriver and placed the tip on the turbo housing and my ear on the handle, it did not sound good at idle...

I am still open to suggestions though.

I missed that broken vane, just had a closer look now and it's kind of hiding in the shadow.
So that isn't good. But a bigger question is: What broke it? Anything come out of the engine in a hurry?

I have an unused Garrett GT2256V from a merc sprinter which will be up for sale. Your exhaust housing is different, but the core and wheels may be the same. I can check if you are interested.

I have no idea? I shake it and turn it about and can not get it to rattle??? The engine starts, idles, revs and stops fine with no abnormal noises, other than the turbo. AT idle you wouldnt know the turbo had taken a dump....

A compression test will tell you if any parts of valves are missing.

Being a VNT, the other place something might have come from is the nozzle vanes.

The leak looks like the classic P gasket coolant leak.

    Turbine wheel is a bastard.......

If it is the P gasket, am I asking too much for the mechanic to warrant it as its only 10 months since the last rebuild?
