Disco 2 Front recovery points

Ok, the old man is probably getting a Disco 2 (02 V8 auto) and I've had a look at the front recovery point, and I wouldn't trust it too much, doesn't look like it has too much strength. He doesn't have a bull bar at this poiint, and may not get one (I don't know).

What do others have on theirs in the way of front hooks???

Pics would be appreciated, but descriptions are fine

The factory front loops will break and tear off. They are not safe. I use an ARB bar with recovery holes, but ARB in Perth also do a chassis mounted recovery point specifically for the d2.

I figured somebody had to do it. Do you know where they mount it by any chance.

I haven't had a chance to have a good poke about the front yet, but I went for a drive today, and I was impressed, the ACE is excellent 8)

It would want to be for that money.

Are your folks planning on putting a bar on in the near future ? Those recovery points I mention in the general forum thread will be just as suitable for a Disco bar.
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

I dunno about the bar bit, and I like those points that you are sorting out personally.

He doesn't seem to be overly happy baout how low the bumper is, so perhaps it won't be too hard to convince him to get a bar
