Do you mean the Extreme Trekker or the road/muddie 7.50R16 version? I run the Jungle Trekker 2 and they are simply awsome offroad.

Check out the following link for my favourite off road tyre. The custom extra grip. It's made by several manufacturers, though the site is a goodyear one.
It climbs out of ruts with claw-like grip
It's angles grooves spit out mud and don't get clogged

Used by conservation department in Vic and seen on some military Land Rovers.

Costs vary from $150 - $220 depending on ply rating and competition. Shop around and talk the price down. Never pay retail for tyres.

$298+fitting in Sydney. I think Vic is cheaper though and I would assume SA is similar to Syd.

Had a look at both tyres and no manufacturer comes out of the closet with down sides of their product which makes an informed selection difficult.

By the look of the treads would be expected they're unbelievably noisy when worn in a bit for those of us without insulation.

Tyre life 40,000km ? :?
