I think the Rhoden x-grip and the custom x-grip are the same tyre. Olympic also make the same. And Yes, to Jay's guess, 40,000km is the limit if you drive them all the time. I use truck steer tyres at 60 psi for road driving, they are quiet and last over 100,000 (7years 8O ). I have a set of x-grips on a second set of rims for Off Road use, so they should last me a decade or two. I believe that those 2 are the same (leading me to question why the price difference), but it will probably be a choice between the knovoy and the GT x-grip (due to the good price, and tight finances). I'm pushing to do 6,000 km a year, so they will last OK, but I want to compare then in the flesh first.

I run the Jungle Trekker 2's (33") off road and use my Muddies for normal on road/little trip useage. (Have an '88 County 110) I cannot fault the Simexes tyres off-road and we do a far bit of mud, bush, hills and rocky driving. I thought we were relitively mild in our 4wding, however having had a few 'others' follow, they say we are bordering on extreme. 8O

One thing with the JT2,s though, is that you would be well advised to get the Simex Tubes put in. These allow you to lower your tyre pressure right down low without popping the tyres off the rims easily.

When we go 4wding, we often have a late model Toyota thing try to follow, however he does not have Simex tubes fitted to his JT2's and he's popped his tyres 4 times in the last 6 weeks.

Reckon he'd get the hint by now :roll:

Where did you get the Simex's from Saint? Are they the 10.5's or the 11.5's.

I'm thinking about a set of Extreme Trekkers (Click here) in a 31x10.5x16, but I think I need to get the standard rangie steel rims widened first.. [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif[/img]
