If it's what I think it is, i.e., a ladder-like frame that bolts between the sump and the block, John E. Davis Motorworks (now Davis Performance Landys) used to use them on their worked engines. They're at Annangrove (Sydney).
im trying to source a rover v8 girdle. Any ideas guys? maybe other v8 engine that might fit? i would prefer girdle that bolts to block also. any ideas guys?

Why not use the 4.0 cross bolted block, gives you 4 bolt mains as well, Regards Frank.
