Thread: Tdi300 Oil recommendations?

Valvoline Super Diesel, 15w40 x 20litres, currently $69 for the drum at Supercheap. Been using this oil in evrything for years. Cheapest to buy and has the same conformance as Shell, Castrol, etc. 300tdi has run this since new, on the farm there are three tractors of various sizes, a header, four different size trucks and a few other bits and pieces around and they ALL use this oil. We even use it in the petrol motors. We get it in 200l drums and a primary producer rebate. As above the 20l drum at Supercheap is good value for city guys. We use because it does the job well and is the right price. HOWEVER, if you don't change your oil regularly, it doesn't matter what you use, the motor will fail. Change filter and oil every 5000k's or 100hrs and you will have no dramas.
