    Best Brand & Weight of Oil for both diffs & Transfer Case Disco 1

    Hi,

    Whats the general opinion on the correct oil for the above 1998 D1, I'm running 75/140w fully syn Valvoline all around, might be an over kill?

    I still get the tranny whine around 100km/h, looking for a good oil to try and quieten it down just a bit.

    75/140 is probably ok for the diffs in Dubai but a definite overkill for the LT230.
    Put the spec 80/90 in the transfer case and if it still makes excessive noise
    you may have to delve deeper.

    Thanks for the replys guys.

    Dropped the transfer case this morning, filled it back up with 80/90 EP.

    will see how I go on.
