Something I've wondered about is whether aired down tyres combined with wet/mud etc is allowing the tyres to rotate slightly on the rims. Would certainly cause balance issues if it was.
I keep meaning to mark the valve position on the tyres using paint pen or similar so I can check but always forget until the next time I have a balance issue and by then its too late.
Usually the comment from the tyre guys is that one or two wheels needed a bit to rebalance, and the others were OK.
I'm running disco rims, not dynamic.
