a suspension lift lifts it at the chassis, so everything but the axles goes up, this increases your ramp over, approach and departure angles as well as getting you some increase in clearance for larger wheels if you also lengthen the bump stops.
if you go over 2 inches you need to look at changing some parts of the suspension setup brake lines and steering to reset the relative geometry on the vehiles running gear.
A body lift just gets the body clear of the chassis, It lets you fit larger tyres and thats about it on the disco as everything else like the front bar and the tow pack bolts to the chassis.
Both raise the center of gravity the suspension lift more than a body lift
