I had the locksmith in Gladstone Qld, cut me a new key for my D1. He tried to tell me that D1's were a problem as they were converted from LH drive to RHD for Australia and Landrover stuffed things up. I did enlighten him. Needless to say I will not be going there again.

New petrol ignition switches are around $26.00 I am not sure if this price is a replacement part - after market, an OEM or a genuine switch.

Ive done it a few times over the years normally quite cheap about $50-$100 if memory serves me though I do try to remove a door lock and take that in makes there job easier I guess therfor making it cheaper for you
