Car Sputters When I Give It Gas...?

    well more problems =c)
it seems something to do w/ the throttle cable..or something...inside car..if i press the gas, the RPM's do not rise accordingly..and the car almost dies...
keep in mind this has been an issue since i did some insane crazy off roading...if i manuelly pull the cable..it still doesnt respond accordingly...any opinions? thanks guys...

*check for air leak in air intake system between air mass meter and heads

*but first try removing engine fuse to clear any faults that may be present
    in ecu.

*did this start after refuelling? bad fuel?

*crazy off roading? you havent damaged anything underneath?
    fuel lines or exhaust

check the easiest and cheapest stuff first and let us know
if you drove through water something might wet that shouldnt be

where is this "engine fuse" to reset? wouldnt unplugging the battery for atleast 30 minuets do the same thing?
i know its not bad fuel...
as far as crazy off roading..
as far as being wet...this was about 2 weeks ago now...so i'd figure it'd be dry...

    what about timing?

yes you can unplug the battery if you know your radio codes.
the fuse should bi in the fuse box from memory, with a picture of the engine and i think a do not remove symbol.
its been 10 years since i worked on these.

    8) well if its any consolation mine's cracked the sads after the deep crossings two weeks ago too,
cruise don't go-- its the pump, went underwater,
rough running-- like a plug or a bank out 'specially after planting it around a roundabout [the same one --three times on three different days]
and the starter needs to be conned to get it going--- like key start jiggle
sometimes wonder if it will go at all
tomorrow i will look into it
    good luck with yours

Just a thought, we talked about fuel surge a while back in one of these pages and maybe part of the problem could be related to that ?
