    Soundproofing the wheelarches

Well that's two litres of extremely black, gooey and hopefully sound-deadening paint onto the front two wheelarches.

    Decibel levels before:

    0kmph 57db
    60kmph 67db
    100kmph 74db

    Normal conversation is 60db.

(mine is somewhat soundproofed already, add about 4db for a standard TD5 Defender)

it's drying at the moment, will see how it goes tomorrow. It seems 1L does one coat of two wheelarches. My coats are pretty thick, I must admit. Got two more tins for the rear wheelarches. Well, wheelboxes.

Sidenote; the wheel alignment place was a bit enthusiastic with the rattle gun. Had to use the Persuader (the original wombat bar) slotted onto the wheelbrace to free a few of the nuts.
