I think I agree with UNINFORMED that lowering the shock mounts is not the best option, & by the link provided by HOOK above for the mounting plates thay are 150 US dollars, not cheap. But LARNS its series LandRovers that were fitted the axle straps, modern coil sprung vehicles rely on the shock, this did not stop the army from raising the height of the Series 2 & 3's but you are correct that there must be some added risk & also the potential of pulling the drive shaft apart. Just because the shock has over half a meter of open length does mean that I have that much travel. There is still only 200mm difference between the 2 sides. One thing I must admit to is that Land Rover spent many dollars designing & testing there springs to suit the vehicle, yet ther are numerous companies that supply springs of greater length, and I the Perentie performed better off road with the standard springs. But they sag when loaded with camping gear etc.

Scorpion Racing in the UK do the Shockie drop kit as part of their Evo kit - can buy them separate for about $100.

Damo put some on his RR - just remember, he pops his springs now and does not have relocators in yet!!!

    As him how we know!!!
