Hey so I finally fix my injector, replace all washers and seals, start her up and it purrs like a kitten, 100 km later with no warning the engine just stops running, I purged the motor twice, finally got it running for another five km's then have to repeat the process to get it home, any ideas, because she was running so sweet right up till it stopped running.

SubscriberThey make a loud noise when pumping bubbles, and a softer noise when pumping fuel.

The loud noises should gradually diminish in length as you get to the fourth or fifth cycle and really not be heard at the fifth.
But why does it have air in the system when purging? if you have not opened the system . Maybe another check of the Orings on the injectors is necessary.

Could it be a damaged fuel line or a fuel pump that is only picking up fuel some of the time?
It is probably just air in the system or damaged or incorrect size copper washers. When I did mine I had issues on start up and could not figure. I pulled out the injectors again as I also had some fuel getting into the sump. Washers were actually wrong size and had started to bubble. Replaced with correct size and had similar issues. I spent about an hour just priming the system by turning the ignition on until pump stopped and then doing this again and again for about an hour. This cured my issues. I also had similar when I ran the tank dry and took about 1/2 hr to purge.
Everyone seems to point fuel pump, while it is possible why would this occur at the same time, not real likely.
When I had my issues I had people saying this as well and if it was not for some real advice from a forum member I may have wasted a lot of time and money on a fuel pump I did not need.
Look at the easy things first.
Could also be a fuel regulator if you have had everything off, look and smell for diesel.

would it make any difference if i mentioned that i was doing 100km when the engine stopped running, i wasnt sitting idle and there were nil sings of anything being wrong right up until the engine stopped?
Did it cough and fart or just cutout, fuel cough and fart, electrical just stops suddenly no symptoms.
