Maybe I'm an old so and so but that looks to me like $15.00 steel and a few hours on the tools, doesn't anyone make anything for themselves anymore, I would not pay that for what was shown.
PS I forgot I don't need a biro.
Well maybe more than $15-00 worth of materials, but the point is that many (most) people don't hsve the knowledge / tools / facilities / time / inclination / confidence to make up a properly rated (ie strong enough) bit of gear like that themselves. It's those people (meops: ) that create a market - and this is one company fulfilling that demand.
If you can make them for yourself - so much the better.

Good response Vlad, my post was not to belittle anyone who, like you stated doesn't know how or hasn't got the gear to do so, I have to confess I cannot tune an engine (properly) I always get someone who is familiar with Landrover to do so, way back when I started out with L/r's 69/70 we were considered odd for owning them and we had to make the bits that you needed for recovery etc, I've made in the past adaptor plates for 179 Holden, 302 V8, and 2.8ltr Diahatsu engines all into Landrovers, but like I said I have my limitations as well, I do hope I didn't offend anyone, and I think these days with litigation laws etc I don't think you could legally make anything like that for anyone other than your own use cheers Dennis

Yeah Ron they are good gear, but in the USA. Have you seen the Aussie/US$ cross-rates lately :?: 8O
