sharpen a little piece of soft wood like pine, and shove it in. Be careful not to snap it.

Years ago we could block off a line with a brake shoe rivett.
Could keep driving untill we could carry out a proper repair.
    The mail must go thru.

Well...the cling wrap and glove finger tips worked a treat. Just finished the removal and rebuild of the caliper. Pistons were pretty corroded.

so thanks all for the tips. Only lost a few drops of fluid.

    Cheers

A partially depressed brake pedal will usually stop fluid running out. A piece of wood cut to the right length and jammed between pedal and seat base.
    Dave.

I was asked " Is it ignorance or apathy?" I replied "I don't know and I don't care."
