    At 6 1/2 smackas, just for that, then how much for a fully reco motor with everything done and no worries on the next thing to go?

    Hi Langy, 6 and a half grand seems extremely steep, i would most definitely shop around. I would have though if you bought a new crank you would still need to get it machined to go in youre engine. Mind you as rovernaut said the average price for a total rebuild is around the $7000 mark. It might be worth getting the whole motort done if you are willing to spend that much. But dont get it done at the LR dealer/stealer. Matt

    That's an absulutely ridiculous price langy. As pointed out by others you can get the entire engine rebuilt for just a little more. 8O

    Keep your chin up, she'll be running as good as new before you know it.
