I've got one on my solar HWS pump, been there nearly 12 months continuously switched on without trouble.

Curious..... So, what or how do u attach the sensor to where u want to monitor the Temperature? Zippy Ties or Hose Clamp, etc + How effective is the transfer of heat from Engine to the Sensor ? especially with it being a round cylinder type of sensor?

For the water temp make the equivalent of a " eye type " electrical connection out of a bit of 1/2 " copper tube I.e flatten one end drill 3/8 hole , round off end, split the remained of tube long wise with hack saw , over lap join , and clamp prob, inside firmly.
On the trans pipe just used small hose clamps.
The reaction time is pretty amazing so the heat transfer seems good

How do you think it would go soldering the sensor to the copper tube, think that much heat would damage it ?

Maybe it would be a better idea to use the thermal paste used in computers to maximise heat transfer to heat sinks.
