    Traction control

:?: Is it possible to have a dash switch so I can turn off the traction control when on the beach. This would be on a Defender. Ive been told there is a fuse that you can pull to disable it,has anyone done this. ....Thanks.

You can on the Disco, though Im not sure about the Defender. If you have to disable the ETC, then you are not setup properly. Drop your tyre pressures and make sure the CDL is locked then the ETC will hardly flicker.

This is my experience with it anyhow. I've never had the need to switch the ETC off despite having the switch, not even in the softest sand.

I dont have ETC, but i dont know that pulling the fuse would be a good idea. I mean ETC is in operation with other devices such as ABS, would pulling the fuse affect these. Just a thought. Matt
