I would say from the info you have given that your fuel injector pump is now so far out of whack it is not delivering the right amount of fuel in the given situation.
I'm not sure what mechanical experience, ability or enthusiasm you posses but at this point the pump needs to be looked at by someone who knows what they're looking at if only for the reason of ruling it in or out as the problem. You can research it and tinker but you are risking your engine ultimately - be careful.
Once the pump is fixed or proven good, you can then properly assess certain other aspects such as the boost level and possible damage to others such as injectors. Both of these things will, again, change the optimal configuration of the pump if altered.
Turning up the pre 94 Ram diesel injector pump
Here is a rough doc on how the Bosch VE pump handles fuel loads depending on the engine boost.
I would be wondering exactly how ****ed the engine is anyway running without a waste gate.![]()
Yeah i have had the car for 5months and just noticed....pretty mechanically minded but these are a different kettle of fish to a 010 block chev...just didn't know where to start...my mates a diesel fitter but no mech...anyone in Perth want a cashie....lol...
